Our Hope

In Hosea 2:15, God says "I will......transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope.”

We were made for the Lord. He has a purpose for us here on earth and we are to submit our will to His. We are being prepared for a wonderful place called Heaven. If we aren’t careful, we can be loaded down daily with all sorts of choices and get caught up in the decisions, trying to please people. Most of us want to be responsible to our job, family, church and other things. The more we are keeping our focus on the world and its crisis’s, we can get so distracted from being in the spirit of the Lord.

It is easy to see how we could get into valleys of trouble because of where we live- the world. Troubles will come, whether it is because we made a poor decision or because of the enemy in this world who likes to cause havoc. Either way it is important to keep our thoughts and view of everything with the Lord in mind. It is up to our will to make the effort to set aside time for the Lord each day.

Did I make the choice to sit at the feet of Jesus today and let him have His way with me? Am I doing what is pleasing to the Lord? Is this choice going to make a difference for eternity? Will I cause someone to stumble or harm someone in this? Am I stifling the Holy Spirit? Am I being uplifting and loving towards others with my words and actions or am I thinking of what I want for myself?

Lets' just say that you are taking time with the Lord daily, hearing from Him in His Word and life still deals you troubles. Isn't it awesome to know that God will transform trouble into a gateway of hope for you? This gateway of hope will not be in things of this world but in the one who is trust worthy. God will take the bad and make it good and He will be the only one worthy of all the praise and honor. As we hope in him alone, our relationship and devotion for God will deepen into a sweetness that restores our soul and strengthens our relationship with him.

“So God has given both His promise and His oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.” Heb 6:18

Trust God with everything, in everything, and through everything.
